Review: Star Trek: New Visions

Star Trek: New Visions by John Byrne

I can't be more happy about this book.
It's one of my dreams become true.
It's not just the fact of the original frames of ST TOS.
I can't feel the John Byrne's hand here. Good stories. I mean, they are nos jut good stories. Those adventures really fit in the original series. You really believe on these adventures as if they really happened in the TV screen.

I can't wait to seed more adventures like this.
Who knows if we could see new Star Trek Next Generation stories this way? Or, why not, new Firefly episodes?
A whole universe of possibilities is open here.

This is the story of a superhero, but it's a story of love and family. And this is his big point.
Sometimes, the old simple concepts are more powerful than the too much elaborated arguments.
Huck is the perfect example for this.
A simple story full of good feelings.
A little mystery.
A past to discover.
And one premise: Happiness lies in the simple things you have in your life.

Six issues with good short stories and bad artwork.
Excepting first issue. Here we find a better issue.

The stories are little fragments of specific moments in different ST series, from the original one to Enterprise.
One of my favourites is a tale of John Archer, an excellent job of the writer, and here pencils are not so bad.
