Better than Team one: Stormwatch, but the artwork is still a whole world under the level of the first issues of WildCATs.

A pleasure to see James Robinson here. The script is good. I can understand the story. It's not like Team One: Stormwatch (heroes, aliens, hit, punch, end of the story).

I can't understand why Wildstorm allowed things like this.
Steven Seagle doesn't know how to tell a simple story. This is one of the worse scripts I've ever read. Bad dialogues and bad sequenced narrative.

And what about Tom Raney? There is an universe of good artists waiting to work, waiting for an oportunity. And I dont understand how Raney arrives to work in series like Uncanny X-Men, Action Comics, Captain America, Thor...

The begining of Wildstorm with Stormwatch and WildC.A.Ts (and Team 7) is one of the most appasionating eras in the modern comic-book. Team One's series were an interesting idea of "origins" for those series.
But as far as I can see in this issue, Wildstorm screwed it up here.

A great first album.
Steffano and his great artwork provides a solid visual for an ufo story full of classics.
If you watch TV Channels like DMax, History and so, you'll find a lot of aliens and old civilization misteries.
Christophe Bec take some of this misteries to create an argument with different fronts.
The most remarkable are a Mars mission and a sea exploration.
Then, he adds a telepatic guy.
Three fronts to tell a story of ancient ruins of flyin saucers with constant coincidences in three different places.
We just read and wait to see how the three part gather in a slow process.

Anyway, the final result is interesting. Maybe some slow, but interesting.

La curiosidad me llevó a leer alguna de las pocas novelas de la colección ¡Kiai!, y uno de mis autores preferidos estaba allí: Clark Carrados (pseudónimo de Luis García Lecha).

Muchas han sido las historias que he leído de este autor, y he de decir que esta en concreto es de las más flojas que recuerdo.
Es la historia de un adinerado convertido en detective al más puro estilo Bruce Wayne, con el robo de un diamante como motivo principal de la historia.
Y más clásico no puede ser en todo lo relacionado con una historia en la que el componente de artes marciales aparece insertado con calzador. Es un simple maquillaje de justificación en una historia detectivesca de las menos originales y apasionantes de su bibliografía.
Peor a pesar de estar cogido con pinzas en todo momento, uno no puede dejar de imaginar la historia al más puro estilo de las series televisivas de los setenta.
